ROH All Star Extravaganza 6 Preview & Predictions

ROH All Star Extravaganza 6 Preview & Predictions

Tonight, ROH will present it's viewers with an iPPV titled All Star Extravaganza 6. There are many matches on the card to look forward to which led me to write this article giving my thoughts and predictions on each.

1) Monster Mafia (Ethan Gabriel Owens & Josh Alexander) vs. BJ Whitmer & Adam Page vs. Caprice Cole & Watanabe vs. RD Evans & Moose (w/ Veda Scott)
In the opening match of the evening, four of the newest tag teams in ROH will square off in a four corner survival match up. There's a lot of great talent in this match, but as I stated above, the majority of the teams are new. Evans & Moose have only had one match together, Whitmer & Page haven't been partners long plus they've had disagreements as of late, and Cole & Watanabe will be making their debut

as a team here. That leaves one team - Monster Mafia. They have been teaming for longer than any of the teams in this match and despite being new to ROH, they have great chemistry together and put in an outstanding performance in their debut match against ReDragon earlier this summer. With that being said, I think Monster Mafia will pick up the win and continue to climb the ranks of ROH's Tag Team Division.

Who I think will win - Monster Mafia

2) Mark Briscoe vs. Hanson
The feud between The Briscoes and War Machine (Hanson & Rowe) has been heating up since their encounter in the Four Corner Survival match a few weeks ago. Just last week, these two teams squared off in a chaotic battle on ROH TV which resulted in a no contest after tables and chairs were brought into the match. With that being said, this is a match that I expect to be very good. It's going to be the first time that Mark and Hanson are going at it against each other in singles competition so it will be interesting to see how Hanson fares against the veteran in Briscoe. Based on the role War Machine has been on lately, I think we will see Hanson score an upset victory over Mark Briscoe here.

Who I think will win - Hanson

3) Christopher Daniels & Kazarian vs. Roderick Strong & Jimmy Jacobs
Here we have another match that showcases the stacked tag team division in Ring of Honor. This will be sort of a throwback match since Daniels, Strong, & Jacobs have all spent a lot of time in ROH over the years. Strong & Jacobs have been on a vicious streak since becoming leaders of the Decade, but I think Daniels & Kazarian having more experience teaming together will be the deciding factor in this match. Bad Influence for the win!

Who I think will win - Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian

4) Cedric Alexander vs. Michael Bennett
Originally, Cedric was scheduled to face Silas Young, but Silas broke his leg and won't be able to compete so Bennett will be his replacement. Young getting injured was a bummer for me because I've been enjoying him alot lately and Cedric is a guy I've been a fan of for a while so I was looking forward to their first encounter. None the less, Bennett is someone that has been growing on me in recent months. He & Matt Hardy had arguably the match of the night at ROH's PPV debut "Best In the World" against The Briscoes and ever since then Bennett has grown on me thanks to his alliance with Adam Cole. Therefore, I expect this to be a good match, but picking the winner is pretty difficult. ROH has been pushing both guys as future top stars so it's hard to say who they'll go with here. But after some thinking, I believe ROH will go with Alexander here since Bennett is a replacement.

Who I think will win - Cedric Alexander

5) Jay Lethal vs. ACH - ROH TV Title Match
These two went at it in a MOTY candidate bout for the TV Title which ended up in a 30 minute time limit draw. Despite it ending in a draw, Lethal and ACH tore the house down and I expect them to do the same tonight. The only difference will be that on this occassion, I think ACH will defeat Lethal to become the new ROH World Television Champion. It's been a long time coming for ACH, he's been one of the most talented guys on the Indies for several years and it's about time that he got some gold to prove it.

Who I think will win - ACH

6) Adam Cole vs. AJ Styles
This is the definition of a dream match. Adam Cole has been arguably the best wrestler in the world for the past few years as he dominated both ROH & PWG throughout 2013. And AJ Styles, well we all know how Phenomenal he is. Pun intended. With that being said, I expect this to be a match for the ages. It will certainly have to be because it's on a pretty stacked card featuring two other potential show stealers (ACH/Lethal & ReDragon/Bucks). I think we will see Styles pick up a win over the former champion here and begin building towards a shot at the ROH World Title!

Who I think will win - AJ Styles

7) ReDragon (Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish) vs. The Young Bucks - 2/3 Falls Match for the ROH World Tag Team Titles
Jeez, this card just keep getting more awesome, doesn't it? The first match these two teams had was great and The Bucks came out on top. The second match was even better as it made it's way to MOTY talk. On that occassion, ReDragon came out on top and regained their ROH World Tag Team Titles. So these two teams are 1-1 and the best way to settle it is with a 2/3 Falls Match! I expect these two teams to once again tear the house down because it's what they do best. I think ReDragon will be victorious here and solidify themselves as one of, if not, THE best tag team in the world by defeating a team that's been on top of the tag team wrestling scene for many years.

Who I think will win - ReDragon

8) Michael Elgin vs. Jay Briscoe - ROH World Title Match
Elgin's reign as World Champion has been a bit underwhelming so far. He continues to put on great matches, but it just feels like it's missing something. Despite that, I expect this to be a very good match. One thing I do like about Elgin's reign is that he is giving ANYONE a shot at his belt. From Silas Young to Tomasso Ciampa, everyone has been getting a chance to shine and it's pretty awesome. This is a pretty hard match to predict since Jay Briscoe hasn't been pinned in over a year. Well, what will happen is pretty hard to predict. I think Elgin will retain, but how he will retain is the question. Something that's been running through my head is the possibility of Tomasso Ciampa making a run-in and attempting to ruin the main event or cost Elgin the title since he was suspended at the last show. Either way, I think Michael Elgin will walk out of tonight's event as the ROH World Champion.

Who I think will win - Michael Elgin
