WWE Main Event Review - March 19th, 2014

WWE Main Event Review - March 19th 2014
1) Cody Rhodes & Goldust vs. Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro

Every time these two teams step foot in the ring they produce quality matches and this was no exception. It was a great back and forth tag team match with a lot of action. It seems that Cody and Goldust have added that double dive move they used on Raw a few weeks ago to their normal moveset. That's a good thing because it's always fun to see. Cody & Goldust get the win over the Americans in a very competitive match. It was also announced beforehand that there would be a Fatal Four Way Tag Match to determine the #1 Contender to the Tag Team Titles on Smackdown this week featuring The Shield, Real Americans, 3MB, and Rybaxel. Looking forward to that. The tag team division in WWE is hot right now.

Match rating - 8/10

2) Naomi & Cameron vs. Layla & Alicia Fox

Two former Divas champions facing off against the future of the divas division in this tag team contest. This was an enjoyable match with some good moments. As I've been saying for weeks, the Divas division has improved greatly in recent months so most of these matches are quite fun to watch and won't bore you like they normally do.

Match rating - 5/10

3) Titus O'Neil vs. Big Show

I enjoyed this match for one reason - Titus O'Neil is hilarious. He actually got some good offense in here even though The Big Show got the victory. I'm a big fan of Titus as he has loads of potential. He hit a huge slam on the Big Show, but Show kicked out. I don't see why they couldn't have put Titus over here. That would have been a great way to do it as well. The move was very impressive - apparently its his finisher as well. Hope they actually let Titus win a match sometime soon instead of letting him have good showings only to lose.

Match rating - 5/10

The show ends with a segment between Paul Heyman and The Undertaker which was absolute gold from the start. The first thing you see when the show goes back on air from commercial is Heyman telling Lillian to introduce him. The little things Heyman does is so hilarious. He cuts a great promo before The Undertaker comes out and scares the hell out of him. Taker chokes Heyman and says to tell Brock that he will slay him at WrestleMania and if he doesn't understand, he will be at Raw this Monday so he can deliver the message to him personally. Strong closing segment to an overall decent show.
