Fantasy Booking the April 21st Edition of Monday Night Raw

As the days grow closer, I become more and more excited for tomorrow night's episode of Raw. Mainly because of the matches currently lined up for the show. Cesaro/RVD and Barrett/Sheamus both have potential to be great. On top of that, Daniel Bryan is making his return. The show is destined to be great, but sometimes WWE falls short and gives us too much filler.

A three hour show can't only have three high points. You've got 180 minutes of TV to fill and that isn't counting the over run. This episode of Raw is already off on the right foot so I think WWE should really attempt to create a high quality episode of Monday Night Raw. There are several easy and sensible matches & segments that can be added to make the show possibly one of the best of the year.

The first thing that I would do is book The Shield in singles/tag matches. This could be set up simply by The Shield attacking Evolution in the opening segment. A brawl breaks out and security separates them. It teases their match at Extreme Rules and pisses off the angry boss Triple H.

Since Hunter is pissed, he forces The Shield to compete in matches tonight. Triple H forces Ambrose to defend his United States Championship against Damien Sandow while Rollins & Reigns will have to face Luke Harper & Erick Rowan in the main event.

That's two top notch matches to add to the already stacked card. The next bout that should be made is something involving the guys who lost in the IC Title tournament last week. I think Swagger vs. Ziggler would be
a good booking. Just have Swagger come out with Colter about how everything has went for him the past few weeks with Cesaro turning on him and being beaten by Sheamus and Big Show last week. This brings out the fan-favorite Ziggler to shut him up and challenge him to a match.

In the Divas Divison, Paige has faced all comers since becoming Divas Champion including defeating Alicia Fox and Aksana respectively. Have Alicia Fox & Aksana challenge Paige to find a partner for a tag match on Raw. Natalya volunteers to be Paige's partner for the match.

The Tag Team Division has seemingly been put on the backburner lately, but Ryback & Axel defeated the only other relevant team in the division in Rhodes & Goldust last week so I say they get a non-title match against the champions this week.

My fantasy card for tomorrow night's edition of Monday Night Raw:
  • Dean Ambrose vs. Damien Sandow - United States Championship Match
  • Cesaro vs. Rob Van Dam - IC Title Tournament - Semifinals
  • Wade Barrett vs. Sheamus - IC Title Tournament - Semifinals
  • Paige & Natalya vs. Alicia Fox & Tamina
  • Dolph Ziggler vs. Jack Swagger
  • The Usos vs. Ryback & Curtis Axel - WWE Tag Team Championship Match
  • Daniel Bryan return / confrontation with Kane
  • Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns vs. Luke Harper & Erick Rowan
Outcomes:

In the Ambrose/Sandow match, Orton and Batista come down to ringside and distract Ambrose allowing Sandow to roll him up for the victory. Damien Sandow is the new United States Champion!

Cesaro and Van Dam get around 20 minutes to duke it out for a spot in the finals of the IC Title tournament, but in the end Cesaro scores the win over the veteran Van Dam to advance in the tournament.

Barrett and Sheamus compete in a very physical bout that ends after Barrett delivers two consecutive bullhamers to the Celtic Warrior for the victory. Barrett advances to the finals.

During the Divas tag team match, Natalya turns on Paige by refusing to tag in which allows Fox & Aksana to get the win. After the match, Tamina comes to the ring and starts beating up Paige. Natalya joins in on the beating. After they finish, Natalya holds up Tamina's hand as she stands over Paige.

The Swagger/Ziggler match could go either way, but I think Swagger needs a strong showing here so he gets the victory.

The Tag Team Division has become very dull as of late and a shocking heel turn would be the perfect way to spice things up. The Usos defeat Ryback & Axel, but after the match, Cody Rhodes & Goldust ambush the tag team champions. The Rhodes Bros assault The Usos with steel chairs before leaving the ring.

Daniel Bryan is returning tomorrow and based on the way WWE has been booking things, it looks as if he will be going into a feud with Kane so I expect a segment between the two to set up their match at Extreme Rules.

In the main event, Rollins & Reigns are about to defeat Harper & Rowan when Bray Wyatt hits the ring and a three on two assault begins on Rollins & Reigns. Just as the odds are stacked against them, John Cena hits the ring and starts brawling with Bray Wyatt. Rollins & Reigns begin getting the upperhand on Harper & Rowan so Batista, Orton, and Sandow hit the ring. The Wyatt Family regroups near the announce tables as Evolution comes up beside them. Ambrose runs through the crowd into the ring to help Rollins & Reigns. The odds are stacked against Cena & The Shield.. The staredown continues until Daniel Bryan hits the ring. This brings out Kane who comes out with Triple H. The Wyatt Family get on one side of the ring, Batista & Orton get on one side, Triple H & Sandow get on one side, and Kane guards the other. Evolution, The Wyatt Family, & Kane then hit the ring and huge brawl breaks out. In the end, The Shield, John Cena, & Daniel Bryan come out on top and The Authority retreats up the entrance ramp.
